Farm Holidays in the Lanzo valley

One of the most developed tourist attractions in the Lanzo valley is' l'Agriturismo (farm holidays). It offers days of relax with the opportunity to stay at the marvellous mountain settings.

For sport lovers, there are many hikes along panoramic paths, passing by uncontaminated waters and through woods where mushrooms can be picked by experts.

Horse-riding is very popular. Many farms offer the use of riding stables and couses. After having hiked, ridden or done whatever sport available, one cas taste the excellent piemontese cuisine. These farms are famous for their flavours. The piemontese home-made products that are tasted can also be bought, an original souvenir to take home. All this, is a new holiday formula which allows man to be totally fulfilled and to spend his time available away from the more exploited tourist routes.

A healthy relax at' Rifugio Salvin' among mountain pastures and wild nature

This mountain farm is at an altitude of 1.580 mt. in the upper Tesso valley. It can be reached by an 8 Km. track rooad from Mecca, Monastero di Lanzo and is only 55 Km from Turin. In a green, unpolluted valley, full of alpine pastures and vegetation. You can enjoy the pure air and healthy relaxation in a marvellous natural scenario. Small rooms for 2/4 people or larger room for 6/8 people Shared wash facilities. Heating in each room, bedding provided.

Restaurant: Home cooking based on products of our farm. Tipical dishes and products: Polenta,cheese risotto, Toma(local cheese),butter,bread,jam,honey...

STONE COTTAGE "ALLEN"

About 50 mt. from the mountain farm there is a beautifully restored stone cottage available containing: fully equipped kitchen, lounge with log-fire and 2 beds, bedroom with 2 bunk beds, bathroom with bath, shower and hot water, electric light by use of a generator. Possibility of buying fresh milk and milk products daily from the mountain farm. The mountain farm is always available for lunch and dinner bookings

STONE COTTAGE "SAN GIACOMO"

A mountain pasture location at approximately m. 1.400 in the watershed valley of Tesso/valley Grande of Lanzo. This stone cottage is divided into 2 independent apartments, 20 beds in all, each with a bathroom containing shower facilities. Lighting is solar panels, an ideal location for weekly family holidays.

Two self-contained apartments, one on each floor, with; Kitchen, bedroon (10 beds), and bathroom. The house is fully equipped with; materasses, blankets, pillows, gas cylinders, saucepans, cuttlerye.t.c..It is necessary to take food provisions.
The stone cottage is easily reached by a tarmac road starting from the fountain of Sistina (Chiaves) in the Tesso valley, which becomes a track road leading up to 800m from the house.
The nearest habitation (Chiaves) is one hour away.Near the mountain cottage (100m away) is only one other mountain pasture building from which milk products can be bought. Beyond this there are only woods and pasture land.
